DUI Evaluations

After you have been arrested for a DUI and going through the court process, you will be required to complete a DUI Drug and Alcohol Evaluation. (All DuPage County DUI evaluations must be completed by the DuPage County Probation Department) This appointment takes up to two hours, and is done in the privacy of our Naperville office, one on one with a licensed evaluator/counselor. You will be able to take the evaluation with you that day, and upon leaving our office, you will know your DUI "risk level" along with the recommended intervention.

Risk Education

Everyone who has been arrested for a DUI will be required to complete at least 10 hours of "Risk Education". These classes provide you with information and education about alcohol, other drugs, and their effects on the brain and body, along with assisting you in coming up with a plan to avoid drinking and driving. Our court and state approved four-session Risk Education program is available two times per week in the evening at 2.5 hours per session. You will have your Certificate of Completion in hand at the conclusion of your fourth class, upon successful completion.

DUI/Substance Abuse Counseling

Depending on your risk level, you may need counseling hours. We provide counseling for Moderate Risk and Significant Risk levels two times per week, 2.5 hours per session. High Risk treatment (intensive outpatient) is provided 3-4 times per week and will vary based on the individual's program. You will gain insight into your own relationship with alcohol/and or drugs, and learn to move forward in a positive manner.

After Care

Often times, depending on your risk level, you will be required to attend After Care to satisfy the court/and or Secretary of State once your counseling hours are complete. These sessions are completed one time per month, two hours per session, and are an opportunity to check-in regarding the progress you are making on your treatment goals, and to get support during challenging times. We provide this program at Alpha Counseling Center in Naperville - call 630-983-4577 for details.

Secretary of State Evaluations/Updates

If your driver's license has been revoked due to multiple DUIs, an out-of-state DUI, or you have had a Denial, you may need an updated evaluation and other reports necessary to begin the re-instatement or restricted driver's license process. We, at Alpha Counseling Center, can provide the full range of Secretary of State reports.

Drug and Alcohol Assessments

You may be ordered by the court or Secretary of State to obtain a Drug and Alcohol Assessment that does not involve a DUI. We are licensed by the state to provide this service, and can give you the necessary paperwork and recommendations that day, after a two hour appointment with one of our licensed counselors.
